The native wild form of this easy evergreen fern. Strap shaped, long undivided fronds giving the plant it's common name Hart's (deer) Tongue fern. Grows better on alkaline to neutral soils. Happy in damp shade but also in dry shade once established.

Sweet Cicely, fully deciduous. In Spring it produces beautiful soft, hairy, pale green leaves, and then later small heads of cow parsley type flowers. Brushing past it releases the sweet aniseed scent, and it's often used in the preparation of stewed fruit to reduce the amount of sugar needed. A must for the herb or wild garden.
